Class Certification Granted In Rash Curtis Robocall Lawsuit
On September 6, 2017, Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California granted a motion to certify a nationwide class of persons who received prerecorded messages and robocalls from Rash Curtis, a debt collector. Plaintiffs allege these calls violate the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Judge Gonzalez Rogers also appointed Bursor & Fisher, P.A. as class counsel to represent the thousands of persons who received the robocalls and prerecorded messages.
“Judge Gonzales Rogers’ order certifying the class is a huge victory for the thousands of people who received these harassing robocalls,” said Yeremey Krivoshey, one of the firm’s attorneys handling the matter. “We are eager to advance the case to trial and prove our claims on behalf of our client and the class he represents.”
