Scott A. Bursor is the President of Bursor & Fisher, P.A. He focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and class actions. Class actions rarely go to trial. Scott tried 6 class action cases to juries, and won all 6, achieving awards ranging from $21 million to $299 million. Scott’s most recent trial victory came in May 2019 in Perez v. Rash Curtis & Associates, in federal court in Oakland, California, where he won a $267 million jury verdict against a debt collector for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Scott graduated from the University of Texas Law School, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Law Review, and was a member of the Board of Advocates and Order of the Coif. Prior to founding Bursor & Fisher, P.A., Scott was a litigation associate at a large New York based law firm, where he represented telecommunications, pharmaceutical, and technology companies in commercial litigation.
Scott is a member of the state bars of New York, Florida, Michigan, and California, the bars of the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth, Sixth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits, and the bars of the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.
